This interesting scene was captured in early July, while taking a walk up the sidewalk in the Highland Ranch community in Sun Valley, NV.
The photo is effectively split into 3 zones—the green part, the brown part, and the red part. The green comes from the foliage near the left side of the image. The brown is the natural color of the dividing line (in this case a row of small wooden stumps formed into a line), while the red is a sea of decorative lava rocks.
The focal point is the dividing line, about 1/3 up in the image, which naturally draws the eye, while the bokeh effect softens the rest of the scene. Three adventurous thin branches from the plant dare to cross over the dividing line, setting at defiance the artificial boundary encroaching upon their space.
