Washoe County is hosting a series of Washoe Strong Community Preparedness Days, with one scheduled this Saturday, September 27, 2025 at the Sun Valley Neighborhood Center in Sun Valley, NV.
This event is designed to empower Sun Valley residents with the knowledge, tools, and resources we need to prepare for emergencies, wildfire evacuations, and disasters. Through interactive demonstrations, hands-on preparedness activities, and direct engagement with local emergency partners, Sun Valley residents will learn how to:
- Build emergency kits
- Assemble go-bags
- Create a family evacuation plan
- Create a family communication plan
- Stay informed during crises
Kids activities and free coffee & donuts will be provided.
