Sun Valley resident and Nextdoor user Heather Fagundes asks: “If you could change one thing in Sun Valley, what would it be? The abandoned cars issue is an obvious one…”

- I agree on the speeding! I live on Carol Dr (one block off the Blvd) and people speed down it to avoid the traffic (and traffic lights that need to be reset on SV Blvd)! — Sandee Ramos

I would say more access in and out of Sun Valley. Sun Valley Blvd is sometimes backed up from the highway to 7th and forget Highland Park, they have all the new houses, more bien built and at 7PM on any given night, it is 20 minutes to an hour to get down to Pyramid. When the fires were getting close, all I could think of was if we have to evacuate because the fires are tearing theough here, a lot of people will die.
100% agree with you. I vote to connect and pave Rising Ridge Dr (in the Sun Mesa neighborhood in Sun Valley) with Jamon Dr on the west side of Pyramid Way (just north of Walmart). It’s about 500 meters between the two, over the hill (less than 1/3 of a mile). This would give Sun Valley another egress point, beyond the three we have — which could be crucial if the valley needed to evacuate.
How about restricting ROOSTERS!!the noise is terrible.
. Chickens at least don’t cock a doodle do all the time!! I don’t appreciate getting woke up every morning at 4:00 a.m. to the damn sound of roosters crowing. But animal control says they can’t do anything. I filled out the forms. I did the scheduling of the time that they were active. It didn’t matter. They make up more excuses why they don’t get citations.Animal control is useless on reporting them

I know the frustration that animals can cause. Barking dogs and loud chickens can be problematic, at times. Hens are generally quieter than roosters, to be sure, but the opposite is true for ducks, with the drakes being quiet, while the hens are the loud ones. If you live next door to a rooster or a dog that simply won’t ever shut up, it’s a real issue.
The people living in travel trailers on private property. Code inforcement claims if you can’t see it from the street they can’t do anything. They have no water or septic hookups.So you know your back yard is not safe. Record WVIO-PLA26-0022:

Honestly the mass developments going in doesnt help anyone because all the infrastructure cant handle it and the community itself doesnt want them from what you can see on all the forums and facebook pages but it seems like it doesnt matter what the community wants the powers at be are going to do as they wish as long as it brings them more money

Can we please have side walks thru out the whole blvd and sunvalley
Street lights would also help us see better and be more cautious in our surroundings, we have children walking in ditches to avoid getting ran into… the dirt roads needs help…
