Volunteers are invited to help on Saturday, September 13, 2025 from 9 a.m. to Noon at Sun Valley Elementary School to clean up the playground and outdoor school property. This effort is part of the “9/11 Day of Service” events happening in Sun Valley, NV in remembrance of the victims and families affected by the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.
This clean-up event, hosted by JustServe and the Sparks Nevada West Stake, will benefit school children and educators in Sun Valley by helping maintain a fun and safe environment for kids to play in during recess.

BBQ To Follow
After the service events are finished, please join us at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for a BBQ, located at 570 E 4th Ave in Sun Valley, just a few blocks away from the elementary school.

Approximately 20-30 volunteers are needed at each of the events. For those participating in the sewing projects, please download the sewing directions, dress pattern, and the teddy bear pattern online. Please bring a sewing machine, material, bias tape, scissors, thread, and a needle (if you can). You can also make some dresses and bears ahead of time and bring them to the event.
