Teacher Appreciation: The Wise Warren
Teacher Appreciation Week: Do you know the ‘mom’ of Hug High School? Her name is Ann Warren, and she is an English language coach.
Aaliyah De La Cruz
Hi, my name is Aaliyah De La Cruz. I’m a senior in high school, class of 2026. I have been at Hug High since it first opened, and I’m also a softball manager for the Hug Hawks.
I’m from a small town in Oregon, but I have lived in Reno for about 7 years. I have three brothers and I’m the second oldest, which means that I am in fact the only girl. I am always with my family and am either watching my brothers or my niece. As a senior, I will make sure to stay on top of my classes. Although, I will still have my fun and drive Razor scooters or go out with my friends. One day, I hope to be an ultrasound tech. I say that because working with babies is something I have always wanted to do, since my mom inspired me to work with kids.
