Sun Valley, Nevada received between 5 and 6.5 inches of snow late last night and earlier today, blanketing the valley and causing school closures.
If anyone still hasn’t looked outside their window at this point, please do, because the scene is spectacular! While traffic is slower today, and the streets are definitely slippery, it’s not very often that we get to see this type of winter beauty.

While there was a 100% chance of snow today, the likelihood drops to just 11% tomorrow, but jumps back up to 71% chance of a couple more inches on Thursday. Skies will be cold but snow-free on Friday and Saturday. View the Sun Valley weather forecast.
Today’s school closures extend the school year for Sun Valley students, from the previous date of Friday, June 5th to school now ending on Monday, June 8th.
