Truckee Meadows Fire & Rescue (TMFR) is proud to invite the community to their Fire Engine Parade and Toy Drive in Sun Valley, NV on Thursday, December 11, 2025. The parade route starts and ends at Station 45 (5841 Sun Valley Blvd), as shown on this map:
TMFR will lead a parade throughout Sun Valley with a decorated engine accompanied by Santa Claus to bring attention to the toy drive and to deliver holiday cheer! The procession will also include other first responder vehicles. Toys can be dropped into the trailer as the parade progresses.
The parade will begin at 6:00 p.m., concluding at approximately 8:00 p.m.
Following the conclusion of the parade, the engine will end at the station. Residents can also drop off a donated, unwrapped toy or gift card and visit the station for hot chocolate and a chance to meet with firefighters until 9 p.m.
Who Does This Benefit?
Truckee Meadows Fire & Rescue (TMFR), along with the Truckee Meadows Firefighter Foundation and the International Association of Firefighters (IAFF) Local 2487 are proud to celebrate the holiday season by supporting our children in need, to benefit Renown Children’s Hospital and the Ronald McDonald House, as well as other local charity organizations.
Can’t Make The Parade?
Through December 15, 2025, residents can donate any new toy, still in its original package, at any TMFR Fire Station between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. (Plush toys cannot be accepted.) Also, please consider providing gift cards for teen children, a group often overlooked during toy drives.
Donated toys are intended for children from birth to 18 years of age. In lieu of toy donations, the Truckee Meadows Firefighter Foundation will also accept monetary donations.
