Join SVGID (Sun Valley General Improvement District) for this year’s Dive Into Summer community event on Friday, June 6, 2025 from 5:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. at Sun Valley Community Park (115 W 6th Ave, Sun Valley, NV, 89433). The event is open to the public.
Bring your family, friends, picnic blanket or lawn chairs and enjoy free hot dogs and soda. The event will include a DJ with live music, information booths from various community partners, $1 raffle tickets for a chance to win great prizes, and a limited amount of free Sun Valley Pool tokens.
2025 Pool Season
The Robert & Norma Fink Sun Valley Pool will open for the 2025 season on Thursday, June 12 and will operate through Sunday, August 10. Normal pool hours are Tuesday through Sunday, Noon-5:00 p.m. as staffing and weather permits, with a free senior swim hour weekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:00 a.m.-Noon.

A former resident of Carson City, Reno, and Sparks, Richard finally saw the error of his ways and moved his family to Sun Valley, Nevada to live the good life. He finds Sun Valley intriguing, and loves this magical place more than words can describe.
Richard, a Scorpio, currently enjoys playing Star Trek Fleet Command, watching 'The Wheel of Time' on Amazon Prime, and listening to crazy genres of music on Spotify—including classical. (Whoa.)
While most people either dislike Sci-Fi films entirely, or they vehemently prefer Star Wars to Star Trek (or vice versa), Richard loves both Star Trek and Star Wars—equally.
Richard loves using em dashes, and swears by the Oxford comma. His favorite BBQ food is smoked & salted beef brisket, his favorite painter is Piet Mondrian, and his Hogwarts house is Ravenclaw.
