Mendoza’s has been a Sun Valley icon for the last seven years. Oliver Mendoza, the owner, expressed that his biggest inspiration was always his family; they always supported him through everything. Before he decided to start his business, he was working at Little Caesars for two years. When he started his business, he really wanted to get himself out there and used social media to get his business off the ground.
Mendoza always made sure to earn a great reputation for every one of his customers that walked in. He wanted to build a connection so they would want to come back and tell people, “Hey, you remember that guy from the carneceria or the food truck? He’s super nice!”
If he were to give anyone advice for starting a business, he would say, “Go for it!” If you’re afraid to pursue something new, but see somebody that’s doing the same thing, don’t be afraid to reach out to that person, because you shouldn’t let fear get in the way of the business that you want to start, or living the life you want to live! Not being informed by the right person is going to hold you back from living the dream you want to accomplish.
One of Mendoza’s locations is at 5055 Sun Valley Blvd, and is open from 8:00 a.m.–9:00 p.m. This particular location is a store that sells fresh meat and an assortment of groceries (Mendoza’s One Stop Shop and nearby Taqueria Mendoza). They also have a food truck located outside of their coffee shop at 5425 Sun Valley Blvd (Mendoza’s Coffee Cafe-Bar). At their food truck, they sell a variety of authentic Mexican food that is delicious and fresh. Mendoza’s Coffee shop offers great drinks and fresh breakfast.
Overall, all of Mendoza’s businesses stand out as iconic locations in Sun Valley. A business where quality, care and commitment come together. The owner makes sure to go above and beyond, always dedicating his time and effort to ensure that every customer feels valued and satisfied. It’s a business that makes sure every customer experience is a great one.
