Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful (KTMB) has organized a community clean-up event on Saturday, September 13, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to Noon in Sun Valley, NV (among other locales across the Truckee Meadows).
The Sun Valley event will focus on cleaning up the Tassel Dr & Tornado Dr BLM land illegal dumpsite. The neighborhood of Highland Ranch is adjacent to this parcel of BLM Land that experiences frequent illegal dumping.
OHV (off-highway vehicles) and trailers will be very helpful to help clean this land due to its hilly nature. Please wear long pants and closed-toe shoes. Bring a water bottle, sunscreen, and work gloves, if you have them. KTMB will supply tools, snacks, and water. Family Friendly 14+. Parents must be present.
