Is Sun Valley Considered a Food Desert?

James Fredrickson - New Drinking Fountain at Gepford Park

Ginnie Kersey - Tickets available for UNR Balloon Race Raffle

UNR has been a sponsor of the Great Reno Balloon Race since 1985. UNR has been selling drawing tickets and UNR balloon pins since 1986 and funds raised have supported many, many students with our scholarships. We are still flying high!

Lea Lui - Hug HS Hosts Varsity Volleyball Invitational

Awesome article. My kiddos love volleyball. What a great way to “spike” off the season! Thank you.

Author: Estella Herrera

My name is Estella Herrera. What I do is attend school (graduating soon), and I also go to the gym quite often after school.

My interests are drawling, playing violin, and soccer. My hobbies are baking/cooking, and also painting (still in the processes of learning those skills). My strengths are having good communication skills, and also being a fast learner.

One big challenge I face is when I get really bad anxiety in public (like in very large crowds). What motivates me is myself, because I’m scared of failure. My goals in life are to become stable financially and living decently (not struggling).

My greatest value is to never become a heartless person and always stay kind even if others hurt me. I don’t believe I have many great accomplishments yet in life, but I believe me being there for my friends and family when they need me the most is a great thing.

I think a unique trait that I have is being left handed, because I hardly know anyone else that is a leftie. Most are mainly right handed.
