Cinco de Mayo is a holiday that celebrates Mexican culture and history. In Reno, Sparks, and Sun Valley, Nevada, many people come together each year to enjoy this special day.

In Reno, one of the biggest events happens at the Glow Plaza at J Resort. This celebration includes live music, Mexican food, dancing horses, and boxing matches. Families can walk around, eat, listen to music, and have a fun time.

Another popular event in Reno is La Fiesta de Mayo at the Eldorado casino. There, people enjoy traditional music and dancing, while tasting foods like tacos and churros. The City of Reno also hosts a special dance party for people with special needs so that everyone can be part of the celebration.

In Sparks, there are smaller events where families can gather, listen to local bands, and enjoy games, food, and dancing. These events help bring the community together.

In Sun Valley, Cinco de Mayo is celebrated in smaller ways, such as local parties, community center events, or church gatherings. Even though the events may not be as big, they are still fun, with food and pride in the Mexican culture. All three areas celebrate with joy and show how important traditions are in the community.
