When you visit Sun Valley Appliance Center in Sun Valley, Nevada, you’ll see the cutest little doggo resting comfortably underneath the counter. He has a cozy doggy bed there with a window to the world, making him arguably the head honcho in the shop.
Gustavo (Gus, for short) is a 1.5-year-old male dachshund & terrier mix who loves to go to work and take naps. (Pretty awesome gig, right?!)
Nicole Ellsworth, owner of Sun Valley Appliance Center, says she found Gustavo at the Humane Society last October and immediately fell in love with him. Gustavo comes to work with her every day. In fact, they go everywhere together. He rides in a backpack or runs alongside her when she goes mountain biking—a strong passion of hers.
Ellsworth explains, “Gustavo has mastered wheelies and scrubbing jumps. He can stand on his hind legs and walk around for a very long time, and he loves to run the trail behind me when I am mountain biking, and he jumps right over the jumps!”
Gustavo’s best quality is that he is the sweetest boy—not aggressive at all, and he just wants to meet everyone and play. He also has the kindest soul.
An athlete, Gustavo definitely loves to run. But if he can’t be running, then he loves to remove every bit of fluff from his stuffed animals and toss it all over the Ellsworth house.
