Just announced: A new partnership between WCSD and RTC, named the “Youth Ride Free” program, allows WCSD students to access RTC transportation free of charge, year round! Starting June 7, 2025, WCSD students can ride RTC buses for free through this wonderful, new partnership! 🚌💙
Thank you to the Regional Transportation Commission of Washoe County, Nevada (RTC) and the Washoe County School District (WCSD) for helping to get students the access to transit they need. 🥳
This program helps eliminate transportation barriers and supports regular school attendance—because every day matters. In addition, youth can take the bus to other destinations, like events, work, appointments, etc.
✅ Save the date: Enrollment opens June 7, 2025. Once students sign up, they’ll receive a digital RTC Youth Pass they can use right from their phone to ride for free.
