New Drinking Fountain at Gepford Park

Recent visitors to Gepford Park in Sun Valley, Nevada may have noticed the brand-new drinking fountain in the spectator area between the baseball diamonds. It replaces the old, green fountain, and can quench the thirst of three people simultaneously with its 3 bubbler head faucets. The faucets are staggered at different heights, making it easier for smaller kids to wet their whistles.

Brad Baeckel, Public Works Director for SVGID (Sun Valley General Improvement District), announced the donation and installation of the new fountain during the August 14th SVGID board meeting. The recent improvement was made possible by a donation from the Haws Corporation. The new fountain is a Haws model 3502, brown, triple, pedestal fountain.

“Haws Corporation, based in Sparks, NV, is proud to give back to the community through local donations. When we reached out recently to several organizations, Sun Valley was the first to welcome the opportunity, and we’re grateful to support them with this contribution,” said Alyx McCombs, Marketing Project Coordinator at Haws.

McCombs continued, “At Haws®, we believe access to clean drinking water is a basic need that brings people together. Our donation of the drinking fountain to Sun Valley is one way we can give back to a community we care about. We’re excited to support local youth and families by making hydration more accessible during play, sports, and everyday activities. It’s our hope that these fountains help create healthy habits and lasting memories for generations to come.”
